A Flurry of Posts, A Moment to Breathe
If you follow this digital workshop, you've likely noticed a significant uptick in posts recently. It's been a productive sprint, covering quite a bit of ground:
- We started with the making of the simple Python SSG that powers this site, followed by a look behind the build at the AI pair programming process that made it possible.
- We explored a network edge philosophy focused on deep routing and late NATing.
- We dove into the weeds of domain control validation, making the case for email as the most logically sound method.
- Then came the three-part deep dive into DNSSEC, aiming to demystify it from foundational concepts and safe enabling, through operational nuts and bolts, to mastering migrations and leveraging the trust it provides.
- Finally, we tackled the specific interaction between CAA records, CNAMEs, and the ALIAS record trick for regaining control over certificate issuance.
Much of this rapid output, particularly the detailed DNSSEC series and the CAA/ALIAS post, was the result of intensive collaboration – pair programming and pair writing – with an AI assistant. As highlighted previously, this partnership has proven incredibly effective for quickly translating ideas, experience, and specific operational patterns into structured content.
Creating this volume of detailed material, even with AI assistance, has been an exhilarating but focused effort. Now that these thoughts and procedures are "out there," documented and shared, it feels like the right time to pause. As many creatives know, sometimes you need to let the mental cache clear and allow the brain bandwidth freed up by completing one set of projects to explore other avenues. Essentially, it's time to recharge the batteries.
While the well of potential topics certainly isn't dry, there are no immediate plans for the next post just yet. For those interested in future musings, explorations, or deep dives that might appear here someday, the best way to stay informed is via the site's RSS feed.
